I have hidden Your Word in my heart

Image
“I have hidden your word in my heart so I will not sin against you.” These words of the psalmist in Psalms 119:11, pop out at me and cause me to question: “Is your word hidden in my heart Lord? If not, then what is?”  What is the heart except the hidden place: the great vault of the soul where the treasures of ‘self’ have been meticulously stored: Such things as pride, jealousy, self righteousness, fault-finding and self pity, to name but a few, have all found a home and an effective hiding place in my heart. Do I not go to great efforts so that no one will see; at times, living, breathing and behaving as though God Himself does not see?: Jeremiah 17:10...so my heart must be clear, uncluttered and surrendered totally to Him: But my heart is wrought with sin! (Jeremiah 17:9) Who then, will deliver me from this body of sin that leads to death? Thanks be to Him who is the Word - who became flesh and dwelt among us; who now dwells within us; who by His own finger, writes His Law on my ...

Bible Teaching#3 #WhereIsJesus? **Compare John 3:14-15** Numbers21:4 From Mount Hor they set out by the way to the Red Sea, to go around the land of Edom. And the people became impatient on the way. 5And the people spoke against God and against Moses, “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no food and no water, and we loathe this wretched manna! **Read John6:30-35: This is a direct affront to Yeshua the Son of G-d.** 6Then the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people, so that many people of Israel died. 7And the people came to Moses and said, “We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD and against you. Pray to the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us.” So Moses prayed for the people. 8And the LORD said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent and set it on a pole, and everyone who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live.” 9So Moses made a bronze serpent and set it on a pole. And if a serpent bit anyone, he would ...

Excerpt bible teaching2 #WhereIsJesus? Numbers16: 41 But on the next day all the congregation of the people of Israel grumbled against Moses and against Aaron, saying, “You have killed the people of the Lord.” 42 And when the congregation had assembled against Moses and against Aaron, they turned toward the tent of meeting. And behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the Lord appeared. 43 And Moses and Aaron came to the front of the tent of meeting, 44 and the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 45 “Get away from the midst of this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.” And they fell on their faces. (See also Genesis 18:20:25) And Moses said to Aaron, “Take your censer, and put fire on it from off the altar and lay incense on it and carry it quickly to the congregation and make atonement for them, for wrath has gone out from the Lord; the plague has begun.” (1John2:1-2) 47 So Aaron took it as Moses said and ran into the midst of the assembly. And behold, the plague had alre...

Excerpt from Bible study#1  #WhereIsJesus? Genesis 22 Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, “Abraham!” “Here I am,”he replied. 2 Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac(John 3:16)—-and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.” ~ ~Moriah will one day become King David’s Jerusalem, where on this same mountain, GOD’S only begotten Son will ultimately be sacrificed. (We will refer to this, later on in the study)~~ 3 Early the next morning Abraham got up and loaded his donkey. He took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac. When he had cut enough wood for the burnt offering, he set out for the place God had told him about. 4 On the third day (Luke 13:32; John2:19) Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance.  ~~ All the servants of G-d before the Cross, saw the Place of Sacrifice - of Salvation- only from a distance (Hebrews 11:13). This is true Faith .~~ 5 He sa...

Where is Jesus...?

Genesis22:4 On the third day (Luke13:32). Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance (Hebrews 11:13). 5 He said to his servants, “Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will worship and then we will come back to you”:  Seeing “the Place in the distance” (vs.4), and surrounded by “servants”,  Jesus “sets His face like flint” and enters Jerusalem: -  However, he will approach the Place of Sacrifice accompanied only by His Father. (vs.5) A servant is not required to go all the way with his master, because “a servant does not know his master’s business” (John15:15):   But a friend - a son - will go ALL THE WAY with his father (John1:12-13) - to death and through death - Gal 2:20; Col 3:3; (in the same way that the hired hand will leave the flock at the first sign of trouble, but the True Shepherd lays down His life for it. - John10:1-18)  *Because a true Child of God is a servant at heart - Matt 20:25-28* #FollowingJesus
