Psalm 91

 Psalm 91:3 Surely he will save you

    from the fowler’s snare

    and from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover you with his feathers,

    and under his wings you will find refuge;

his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

5 You will not fear the terror of night,

    nor the arrow that flies by day,

6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,

    nor the plague that destroys at midday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side,

    ten thousand at your right hand,

    but it will not come near you.

So how do we fully receive these promises? The answer is in vs 1: “He who dwells in the secret protection of the Most High, WILL find Rest in the shadow of the Almighty. (Ex33:13-22). We, therefore must have courage enough to draw near with our WHOLE hearts and surrender ALL to Him. To know The LORD in the secret place requires that the secret places of our hearts be surrendered entirely over to Him...to know Him and be known by Him...not to make us tingle or give us some kind of utopia experience, but because our very lives are now dependent upon it!
