Satan was just not prepared for this!
That the LORD Himself would provide the Sacrifice (Genesis 22:7-8)…that He would BECOME the Sacrifice (John3:14)…
that the Creator of the Universe would so completely and utterly abase Himself…took this ‘prince of pride’ completely by surprise!
Because God is always one step ahead of the enemy. We see the scarlet thread of redemption running quietly through the Bible, and through history itself, from Genesis to Revelation…and Satan, though always pursuing, never quite catching…though always searching, never actually finding…though always looking, never truly seeing. God is the Alpha and the Omega . He started this (Genesis1:26) - He will be the One to finish it.(Revelation 21:6-7)
