Israel in the End - Day 4
Behold the Sovereign Mercy of the LORD
Day 4
Psalm 87 (Compare with Revelation 20:1-6)
On the holy mount stands the city he founded;
the Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwelling places of Jacob.
Glorious things of you are spoken, O city of God.
Selah
Among those who know me I mention Rahab (Egypt) and Babylon (Iraq); behold, Philistia (Palestine & Gaza) and Tyre, with Cush (Ethiopia & other “distant peoples”) —
“This one was born there,” they say.
And of Zion it shall be said,
“This one and that one were born in her”;
for the Most High himself will establish her.
The Lord records as he registers the peoples,
“This one was born there.” Selah
Singers and dancers alike say, “All my springs are in you.”
Here the Lord promises, that even among the enemies who surround Israel, there will be a Remnant who know Him.
And as for the rest of us (those of “distant lands”) - if we are saved - if we profess Yeshua as our Savior, then we can count ourselves as a part of the number who were “born of Jerusalem”…along with the multitudes, from every tribe and tongue (see Revelation 7:9-17) - as many as will call on His Name Yeshua - The Lord is Salvation: Because Salvation is from the Jews. (John 4:22)
The Place from out of which Salvation “Yeshua” came, is the same place to which He will return (Revelation 19:11-21) - to save his people and take his rightful place as King of kings and Great High Priest. As it is written:
The moon will be dismayed,
the sun ashamed; (Matthew 24:29-30)
for the Lord Almighty will reign
on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem,
and before its elders—with great glory. Isaiah 24:23
And also in Jeremiah…
At that time Jerusalem shall be called the throne of the LORD, and all nations shall gather to it, to the presence of the LORD in Jerusalem, and they shall no more stubbornly follow their own evil heart.
Jeremiah 3:17
So I will pray for your shalom O Jerusalem! Not with men - but with the Lord. (Luke 2:14)
Please make yourself known to them Yeshua hamashiach: to them…and to their aggressors…to the Jew and the Gentile…to the elderly and to the little children…to the hostage and the free…
“May they be secure who love you!
Peace be within your walls
and security within your towers!”
For my brothers and companions’ sake
I will say, “Peace be within you!”
For the sake of the house of the LORD our God,
I will seek your good.” Psalm 122
…and pray for your Salvation…for this is truly the only Way to know complete shalom.
I will pay my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people,
in the courts of the house of the LORD, in your midst, O Jerusalem. Praise the LORD!
Psalm 116:18-19
