Humility vs. Pride

1Cor15:21-22,45-49

The First Adam ~~The pull of Pride:

Genesis 3:4 But the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die.                                                                     5 For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be LIKE GOD, knowing good and evil.”                                                                                   6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate. (See also ch 11:4)

The Second Adam ~~The strength of Humility:

Philippians 2:6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped,      7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.                                      8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

***Because our natural nature is the polar opposite to God’s. This is why we must be re-born John3:3***
