Why do we trust in the blood of Jesus?... i.  It is by the Blood that the Lord God made an everlasting covenant with us, to save us from death, hell & the grave. (Genesis 3:15 & 21; Gen22:1-18; Matt26:28) ii.  It is by the Blood that God made a promise that in the Day of Reckoning, He would pass over/over-shadow us, so the destroyer could not touch us (Exodus12:1-30; Luke22:14-20) iii.  It is by the Blood that God, through a New Covenant, pours forth Mercy upon us instead of judgement. (Genesis 4:10-11; Hebrews 12:18-24) iv.  It is by the Blood that God forgives and removes all our sins, choosing to remember them no more, and thus, saves us from Death, Hell & the grave.(Psalm103:12; Hebrews 8:12); for without the shedding of blood, there can be no forgiveness of sin. (Hebrews9:22) v.  It is by the Blood that we live, move and have our being in His Resurrection Life - because the life of a person is in the blood (Lev17:11; Deut 12:23)....This means that the Life of Christ J

Psalm 148 Praise the Lord! David’s vision of victory, cont. 1 Praise the Lord from the heavens;    Praise him! - in the heights! 2 Praise him! - all his angels;    Praise him! - all his hosts! 3 Praise him! - sun and moon,    Praise him! - all you shining stars! 4 Praise him! - you highest heavens,     and you waters above the heavens! ***The strength…the unity…the healing…the joy…the peace…the freedom… that sound, at the end of all time… of a creation liberated and resurrected by its Creator; that sound, at the end of all time… which we will be a part of.  Hallelujah!  (Romans 8:20-22)*** 5 Let them praise the name of the Lord!     For he commanded and they were created. 6 And he established them forever and ever;     he gave a decree, and it shall not pass away. *** Col 1:16-17 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all th

Psalm 147 Part 2

Psalm 147 Part 2 12 Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem!     Praise your God, O Zion! 13 For he strengthens the bars of your gates;     he blesses your children within you. ***Read Ezekiel ch. 40 - 48 (At the renewal of all things…Matthew 19:28)*** 14 He makes peace in your borders;     he fills you with the finest of the wheat. 15 He sends out his command to the earth;     his word runs swiftly. 16 He gives snow like wool;     he scatters frost like ashes. 17 He hurls down his crystals of ice like crumbs;     who can stand before his cold? ***See Psalm 46…The Lord defends Israel!*** 18 He sends out his word, and melts them;     he makes his wind blow and the waters flow. ***See Isaiah 57:17-19: God is forever merciful to His people, even though they do not deserve it…and through the shed blood of Messiah, that same mercy also extends to us.*** 19 He declares his word to Jacob,     his statutes and rules to Israel. 20 He has not dealt thus with any other nation;     they do not know his rule

Psalm 147 - Part I

Image
Psalm 147 Part 1 David’s songs of victory continue… Praise the Lord! For it is good to sing praises to our God;     for it is pleasant, and a song of praise is fitting. vs2 The Lord builds up Jerusalem;     he gathers the outcasts of Israel. ***David’s hope is in the resurrection of the dead (Psalm 16:9-11)…His hope is in the restoration of Israel (Jeremiah 29:12-14)…in the renewal of all things - when all Israel will be saved  (Micah 4:1-5; Romans 11:25-26)*** vs3 He heals the brokenhearted     and binds up their wounds. (Micah 4:6-7) vs4 He determines the number of the stars;     he gives to all of them their names. ***See Genesis 22:17 -  A beautiful picture of the Ecclesia…the redeemed of The Lord, whom He knows - each one - intimately, by name. And, just as He determines the number of stars, there is also: a number of Gentiles which must come in (Romans 11:25); a number of believers to be martyred (Revelation 6:10-11);  a number of Jews to be commissioned (Revelation 7:1-8) and a

Why Fast?

Image
Why do we fast? To get God’s attention…to bend His Arm…to earn His favor…? No: Through the Cross of Jesus Christ, we already have all of this. So why then do we fast? To refine us - For the Lord to teach us that “man does not live by bread alone, but by every Word of God”…That we would not look to things of this world (what we see, hear, taste, smell, touch) to sustain us, but that we would look to Jesus Christ - who is The Word…our manna from Heaven. (2Cor 4:18; John6:25-58) To refocus us - That our attention would not be on the things of this world to satisfy us…but to the things of God . Because the things of this world are passing away, but the things of God are eternal. (1John2:15-17) To reprogram us - That we would not be controlled by every demand and desire of the flesh, but that we would be controlled by the Spirit, turning to God as our first and only source. (Romans 8:5-11) To humble us - To get our attention back to the Sacrifice of His Son…for His Glory. “And I fed you wit

Luke10: 17 The seventy-two returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!” 18 And he said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.  But what Jesus says to his disciples next, is the ONLY thing that really matters….this is our FOUNDATION…from which the Bride of Christ must - and will arise. Once we learn to do THIS 👇…everything else will flow  vs. 20 Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” #ArmyOfTheLord #FollowingJesus

Psalm 145

Image
#biblestudy #psalmsofdavid Psalm 145 Part 2 David continues to describe the millennial reign of Christ… vs.10 All your works shall give thanks to you, O Lord,     and all your saints shall bless you! vs.11 They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom     and tell of your power, vs.12 to make known to the children of man your mighty deeds, (See vs.4)     and the glorious splendor of your kingdom. vs.13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,     and your dominion endures throughout all generations. [The Lord is faithful in all his words     and kind in all his works.] ***And, believing on the resurrection of the dead, 1000 years before it will occur, David knows he will be there:  Isaiah 2:1-4 vs.14 The Lord upholds all who are falling     and raises up all who are bowed down. ***This is why, in this season of harsh oppression and injustice, we need to “encourage ourselves in the Lord”…and each other: There is great joy ahead! 1Samuel 30:6 2Corinthians4:14-18 1Peter 1:3-7*** vs.15 The

Psalm 145

A Song of Praise. Of David. Psalm 145  Part 1 vs.1 I will extol you, my God and King,     and bless your name forever and ever. vs.2 Every day I will bless you     and praise your name forever and ever… Forever?…How? David has seen from afar ✝️ the resurrection of the dead…he has also believed…and this is how he can now declare  with confidence that… ”my flesh also dwells secure. For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol,     or let your holy one see corruption.”  This is why he says… “My heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; (Read Psalm 16:9-11)     vs.3 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised,     and his greatness is unsearchable. vs.4 One generation shall commend your works to another,     and shall declare your mighty acts… How?… Deuteronomy ch.6:5-7 Psalm 71:17 vs.5 On the glorious splendor of your majesty,     and on your wondrous works, I will meditate. vs.6 They (all generations) shall speak of the might of your awesome deeds,     and I will declare your greatness…

Psalm 144

Image
#biblestudy #psalmsofdavid This first of David’s victory psalms - a song of trust and surrender. Psalm 144  vs.1 Blessed be the Lord, my rock,     who trains my hands for war,     and my fingers for battle; ***David remembers to whom the battle belongs…and Who it is that fights for him (1Samuel17:45-47)*** vs.2 HE…is my steadfast love and my fortress,     my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield and he in whom I take refuge,     who subdues peoples under me. vs.3 O Lord, what is man that you regard him,     or the son of man that you think of him? vs.4 Man is like a breath;     his days are like a passing shadow. ***To put this in David’s words: “Who am I, and what have I done, that you would honor me so?” See  Ezekiel 34:23-24 Jeremiah 30:9*** vs.5 Bow your heavens, O Lord, and come down!     Touch the mountains so that they smoke! vs.6 Flash forth the lightning and scatter them;     send out your arrows and rout them! ***This is exactly what will happen -  See Zechariah 14:1-5*** v

Separated unto The Lord

Image
Matthew 10 28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father.  30 But even the hairs of your head are all numbered.  31 Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.  32 So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven,  33 but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven. ***Read Matthew 5:9-12*** 34 “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.  35 For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.  36 And a person's enemies will be those of his own household.  ***Light must be separated from darkness otherwise how could it ever be recognized as Light.

Psalm 146

Image
#biblestudy #psalmsofdavid Psalm 146 Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul! 2 I will praise the Lord as long as I live;     I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. ***One of David’s psalms of victory. He has learned…because at some point in his trials, God has opened his eyes…and now he sees the defeat of his enemies. Why? Because now he sees The Lord who is his Salvation = Yeshua!✝️ 3 Put not your trust in princes,     in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation. (Proverbs 11:3) 4 When his breath departs, he returns to the earth; (Psalm 103:15-16; Isaiah 40:6-8)     on that very day his plans perish.  (Luke12:13-34) 5 Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, (Psalm 143:7-12)     whose hope is in the Lord his God, 6 who made heaven and earth,     the sea, and all that is in them, (Genesis 1; Isaiah 40:12-31) who keeps faith forever; (Isaiah 40:9:11) ***from this point onwards, David will prophecy of his descendant - The Son Of David, who is Messiah*** vs.7
